Hagenow Announces Re-Election Plans

(WINDSOR HEIGHTS) – Rep. Chris Hagenow (R-Windsor Heights) announced today he will be running for re-election to the Iowa House in District 43 which includes portions of Windsor Heights, Clive and West Des Moines.

Currently, Hagenow is the Chair of the Government Oversight committee.  He also sits on the Appropriations, Judiciary and Public Safety committees.

“Chris has been a principled, conservative leader in the House,” said House Speaker Kraig Paulsen.  “He is constantly working on new ideas to make our great state even better.”

Hagenow is a sixth-generation Iowan who received his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa and his law degree from the University of Iowa.  Currently, he is a founding partner at the Whitaker Hagenow GBMG law firm in Des Moines.

In the Iowa House, Hagenow has focused on legislation directed at putting Iowans back to work and reducing the cost and scope of government.

“As a husband, father and life-long Iowan, I have a passion toward making Iowa an even better place to live, work and raise a family,” said Hagenow.  “We need to get our state moving forward again by getting government out of the way and empowering individuals and businesses to succeed.”

Chris will be seeking a third term to the House.  He and his wife, Amanda, have two young sons and the family attends Westkirk Presbyterian Church in Urbandale.
